USDA Accepts DEIP Bids for Anhydrous Milkfat and Cheddar Cheese to Asia and Eurasia

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has accepted three bids from three exporters under the Dairy Export Incentive Program (DEIP) for anhydrous milkfat and cheddar cheese to Asia and Eurasia.

The bids are as follows:

  • One bid for anhydrous milkfat to Asia and Eurasia
  • The award totaled 110 metric tons of anhydrous milkfat.
  • Delivery period: November 1 to December 31, 2009.
  • Bonus: $400.00 per metric ton.
  • Remaining global DEIP balance: 3,627 metric tons.
  • The bonus was awarded to Interfood, Inc.
  • Two bids for cheddar cheese to Asia and Eurasia
  • The award totaled 56 metric tons of cheddar cheese.
  • Delivery period: November 1, 2009, to January 31, 2010.
  • Average bonus: $200.00 per metric ton.
  • Remaining global DEIP balance: 1,187 metric tons.
  • The bonuses were awarded to Gerber California, Inc. (18 metric tons) and Schreiber Foods, Inc. (38 metric tons).
